O'Maggio's Kildare House sits comfortably in Windsor as a full-service Irish pub and sports bar that blends a rustic, traditional vibe with a menu that reflects classic pub fare with some local twists. Located on Wyandotte Street East, this spot draws a regular crowd that appreciates its approachable atmosphere and reliable comfort food.

Step inside and you'll find yourself in a setting that leans into its Irish pub roots — wood accents, cozy seating, and a friendly buzz whether the game is on the big screens or the evening crowd is settling in for a meal. It’s a place that suits both casual nights out and those evenings when a hearty meal is the focus. The space feels intentionally welcoming, with staff mindful of accessibility and attentiveness, making it easy to relax whether you're coming solo, with friends, or family in tow.

The menu offers a solid lineup of dishes that anchor themselves in classic comfort: the Halibut Fish & Chips is consistently highlighted by visitors for generous portions, enough to share, while staples like ribs, the Raging Bull Burger, and Irish Stew hit familiar points for anyone craving pub-style fare. For lighter or sharer options, spinach dip and deep-fried pickles make for good starters, and the variety of sandwiches — from Corned Beef on Rye to Philly Cheesesteak — caters well to midday crowds or a casual dinner.

Drinks here lean heavily into the local craft and Irish beer scene, featuring taps with IPA options, Walkerville Honest Lager, and standard bottled beers alongside some thoughtful non-alcoholic choices like the Cherry Spritz. It’s a particular draw for those who enjoy an easy-going bar vibe without the hype, with staff often praised for their friendliness and attentiveness, even small gestures like making sure service dogs are comfortable get noticed.

O'Maggio's works best for evenings when you want a no-fuss spot to gather with good company, watch a game, or indulge in a filling meal. Weekends and game nights can bring a lively energy, while weekdays offer a quieter pace that’s appreciated by regulars who come for the solid food and familiar faces. The combination of a reliably good kitchen and a welcoming, laid-back environment has made it a staple in the neighborhood for over two decades.

What a neat little bar. Regan is a very good waitress. The chicken pot pie is outstanding. The service is excellent. The Irish coffee is very good. This is a nice little cozy Irish bar.

Excellent place. Ive been coming here for over twenty years and I always enjoy myself. I've never had a bad meal here. I particularly enjoy the halibut; the bangers & mash is great too.

Very rustic and Irish pub-style feeling. Great drinks on tap, and. Menu you’d expect from compatible pubs.

Vibes are great here! I came for the first time this past summer, and the place is very accessibility-friendly. I was able to come in with a blind family member as well as my service dog, and the server even brought him a bowl of water without us asking — a small gesture that's very thoughtful, and she was super friendly! The food is good and reasonably priced. We came in for the BOGO wings and the chicken fingers, both solid choices. The building itself is huge!Heads up though, washrooms are on the second floor and are not fully accessible as the stalls are small. But, the area is clean and well kept, the women’s washroom even has a cute little sitting-room-style area —great for taking selfies and there’s a fun car out front as well. Overall, a really enjoyable spot. I’ll definitely be coming here again with the family.

First time here and loved it. Very pub like, which is exactly what it is. Portion size of halibut and chips is crazy, enough for two. Excellent service. Will definitely go back!

Good times at Kildare! Food was good, staff friendly and I simply loved the wall hangers and old beer memorabilia.

Made the pilgrimage from Chatham to come to the Kildare house for my wife's birthday. We got the appetizer trio, and both got the halibut and chips. The apps were very good but I can't emphasize how big the serving of fish was! Look at those pictures! The fries are under the fish and are fantastic in their own right. I would highly highly highly recommend you choose the Kildare house for your next fish and chips hankering!
